The Cruising Sections annual up-river cruise took us to the surprisingly peaceful inner suburb of Ascot Waters.

With the grey sky’s threatening to rain on the parade, the day remained dry and we cruised up at a very leisurely pace, popped the champagne corks and unpacked a seemingly unless abundance of food.

With all the boats tightly packed together, the jetty wandering and boat hoping began as skippers and their guests mingled from boat to boat, swapping tails of their recent travels and a few others planning their next adventures.

But as always, the day comes to a close as one by one, we untied and headed back to the Club.
