Travel Grants

South of Perth Yacht Club is proud to support our sailors travelling interstate and overseas to compete in sailing events. Embarking on an International or Olympic sailing campaign can become an expensive mission, so if you are a member of the club and travelling to compete please read the Travel Grant Policy and lodge a Travel Grant Application Form for financial assistance if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Program of Merit

The objective of the Program of Merit is to nurture the development of top-level sailors, coaches and officials from the club.

The purpose of this funding is to support high-performance projects with people who have the commitment, proven results and the potential to succeed on the world stage.

The Program of Merit is implemented by the On Water Group and overseen by the Training and Development Chairman on behalf of the Management Committee of the Club.

Programs of Merit are normally reviewed annually in October. This year (2022/23) due to the uncertainty caused by Covid-19 the process has been extended to the end of January 2023.

Applications need to be submitted on the below form to the Head Coach, Denis Jones by 31 January 2023. The outcome of the application will be notified by the end of February 2023.
