Dearly loved Merv Holst passed away peacefully the evening of the 4th of August 2022.
Merv had an interesting life with many sailing adventures on our treasured ‘Leola’ on both river and the ocean. We spent many long holidays at Rottnest, in our second home, Longreach Bay. Merv would spend many happy hours at the boat in the pen as many members would attest to hearing him whistling away. Many of his mates would be invited on board for a coffee, beer, or a glass of red and a long chat. Much of his woodworking skills can be seen around the Club. Merv loved making things for the Club and his mates. He loved his extended family and many good friends through boating in general and freemasonry. Gone but not forgotten, Merv will always be in our hearts.
We welcome you to join us to celebrate Merv on the 2nd of September, at 3 pm, at South of Perth Yacht Club.
