A combined fleet of 37 boats from seven different clubs successfully navigated the course’s 13 marked checks under lovely, calm conditions this past Saturday. Following the disqualification of Armstrong on Monday morning, some finishing positions were altered.

The standout performer from our team was Dalusional, achieving third place on a countback with a score of 9. Following closely were The Dolphin, Lone Star, and Thanet, who secured 7th, 8th, and 9th place, respectively. Each finished with 12 points, their final positions decided on countback. Unfortunately, three of our team members misunderstood the mark at Lucky Bay, resulting in 10-point penalties each. We encourage everyone to review the updated results on Sportspage.

In a proud moment for our club, The Pelican Trophy was presented to Dalusional’s Troy and Victoria by Tim Beck. Jason and Caroline of The Dolphin came in second place. After recalculations, Doug Smith on Reel Time narrowly missed out, with third place being awarded to John and Lynne Cooper on Purrfect.

Once the results were announced, members were eager to kick off the celebrations with Band Night. We were delighted to welcome two visiting boats from Fremantle Sailing Club, who joined in the fun after berthing on the jetty.

Looking ahead, the long weekend will feature the traditional Cruising Event to Mindarie Marina. Following this, the next notable event is the Colin Wilson Trophy slated for Saturday, 10th June.

We look forward to seeing you all there!
