Doug Smith was presented with the Cliff Spence Memorial Trophy, by Cliff’s son John Spence, for his win onboard Reel Escape, with Angie Kaaks navigating. Doug scored 12 handicap points to clinch the handicap win from Detour Dave Markham skippering and Chris Pearson navigating on 14 points and Neredes II skippered by Ian Blanckensee and navigator John Mewett with 18 handicap points.

Commodore Troy Dalglish and navigator Victoria Blanckensee onboard Dalusional, continued their fine form, scoring just 4 points around the 10 checked marks, to take home the Least Points pennant.

Congratulations to Dalusional and Reel Escape, this week’s winners in a fleet of 20 boats.

A special mention and congratulations to new time trialing team Tabernak skipper Travis Martin and navigator Kim Muraszko, 6th place on a countback with a score of 20 points

Next week the fleet compete for the Ray D Carter Trophy, another of the Power Section’s most converted trophies. Marleen Carter will be our guest to present the trophy to the outright, least points winner, in recognition of her father.
