The Seafarer Trophy is Royal Perth Yacht Club’s annual invitation time trial event and CPYC State Heat 3. The Seafarer trophy is named after the historic launch, our members might remember her at SoPYC when owned by our power starters, Alan and Molly Coy.
32 boats representing 4 clubs set off in the chilly morning breezes, 10 boats from SoPYC. Competitors gathered afterwards at RPYC to enjoy refreshments, lunch and announcement of results. 2 huge $1000 vouchers  stood out among the other prizes, pennants, trophies and strudels.
Congratulations to Sovereign, Skipper Rodney Greville-Collins and navigator Richard Melsom for winning the trophy and first place on handicap and one of the vouchers.
Congratulations to Dalusional, Troy and Victoria, for winning Least Points pennant and the other voucher, with loss of 9 points, from  Amazon, Steve and Amanda, 10 points and Thanet, Guy and Richard 3rd with 11 points .   Congratulations team… SoPYC boats took 5 of the first six places

The next 3 Saturdays are Club events.  Let’s spread the word and have our numbers back up into 2 fleets for the Ray D, the Linfox and the Frank Dal Trophies.
A date to pencil on the calendar  is the Christmas in July “winter wonderland” party on Saturday 24th July ! Please invite friends and family to our free, fun, dress up night with Christmas themed food and drinks.  Our friends from kindred clubs are invited after the  TiTu  Trophy and State Heat 5.
