It was a great day for time trialling on Saturday with several new teams either getting pennants or getting very close!

Well done to team Tabernak who got 3rd  place in the Port Fleet on a countback from  Jola – both on 14 points. Adagio placed 3rd in the Starboard Fleet and congratulations to Desiderata who won their fleet and the Patrons Trophy with 8 points!!  River Run were not far away from the pennants either on 17 points.

It is wonderful to have so many new competitors improving each week. We have one on-water event remaining, please participate if you can!

Saturday 30 September is Closing Day and Lady Skippers Day

Lady Skippers is being rerun after the event was cancelled due to poor weather. However, there will be two sets of results – one for the ladies who have been nominated and one for any regular skippers who want to get an extra event in for the season. Send nominations to Matt in the OWG please or click below. If you were nominated for the original event, you are still in. Provisional Start Times will be sent to competitors this Thursday, as usual.

NOTE: It is a MORNING time trial and will be followed by the AFL Grand Final fun in the Bar. We will announce the results at halftime of the game.

AFL Grand Final Event

Thanks to Chris Pearson/also known as Chris Wilson, for arranging the sweeps for this event, which makes it so much more exciting! Once the game is over, we will crank up the music. FYI there is no live band this year, however, we will have an awesome Spotify Playlist cranking out party tunes.

After that, we have some off-water events to look forward to.
