Your Sailability section at SoPYC has delivered 546 hours of on-water experiences to an average of 42 Sailability participants and their carers on each of the 13 Wednesday mornings this season that were deemed safe from a wind and temperature point of view! Pretty good effort don’t you think?

This outstanding result would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and dedication of our red-shirt volunteers. Together they have contributed over 2100 hours of voluntary support over the same period to make this happen!! ……  On behalf of the club’s Sailability committee, thank-you one and all.

We have 7 Wednesdays remaining for the season and to sustain this performance, we are always needing volunteers. Roles are varied and include not only on-water roles: skippers, crew and safety boat, but also a wide range of jetty support, boat maintenance and other on-shore duties.

So if you can spare a Wednesday morning to lend a hand, you will be most welcome and will undoubtedly have some fun giving back. Come see what we do; have a chat to our Sailability coordinator Liz Warman (0401 111 134); and/or check out this short video for further inspiration! (Compiled from drone footage captured by club member, Jim Henry [Stilldroneinon] – Thanks Jim!)
