The weather has been particularly unkind for some of the club’s activities this season. On water events have been cancelled due to high winds and today a coach load of ladies from our Lunch Group is at Araluen to take in the wonderful display of wildflowers and tulips there. And today the weather gods have served up heavy rain, strong winds and thunderstorms – less than ideal conditions for an outdoor wildflower tour!
Next month we have the pleasure of hearing Holly Brindle, the tour d’force behind the Good Grocer’s marketing.
No hint of nepotism here, although we acknowledge that Holly’s father Greg is the big boss in the Good Grocer’s ever-expanding empire. She strides out strongly in a highly competitive environment to keep the company at the forefront of Perth’s independent grocers.
In addition to being the sponsor for the Ladies Lunch Group, the Good Grocer is a strong supporter of many of the Club’s on-water activities and Greg Brindle is a long term member of the Club.
Holly’s power in the retail world will give ladies a fascinating insight into the grocery business in 2022.
