It was fantastic to see the Women’s Keelboat team take out a win in the Interclub Champs over the weekend.  Well done not only for that regatta but with developing a great team of enthusiastic sailors wanting more.

I knew a result was only a matter of time along this journey.  And I expect the journey will have many more challenges and rewards.  Well Done!!!

You will be pleased to know that our junior sailors also participate in our Girls On Water program on Fridays as a social development program.  This summer we ended up with 13 sailors doing 102 sessions.  This is a significant change where we previously saw a high dropout rate.

Also well done to our other Keelboat sailors who jumped in and performed well in the Youth and Open section, almost taking out the overall title in second place.

A big thank you to John Hasson and Richard Evans for supporting the sailors over the weekend.

For our junior and youth sailors, the school holidays marks the end of the summer training block as we move to a winter training program.  Below are some summary numbers from the summer program.

This time of year also allows us to Review, Learn and Adapt the programs to hit the ground running next season.  We have recently received our new  RS Quests boats for training and will be planning some activities for members in the coming weeks as a chance to test some concepts for next summer.

Some recent images below of activities at the club perhaps not at times when many members visit.
