The perfect end to a great season with the north-westerly breeze being just shifty enough to keep everyone on their toes.

Nick recruited number one son, Matt, to do all the hard work and Best Foot Forward took the gun in both races by handsome margins. It was “snakes and ladders’ for the rest of the fleet with the left hand side of the course claiming it’s share of victims.

Great to see Gordon Cook out of long term retirement to help get Lillo around the course in Escalator. You don’t often see 2 octogenarians on the one Flying Fifteen !

Lisa Blanchard aboard Ineffable won the bragging rights for the greater Rooke family by beating sister Michelle who has the advantage or burden ( pick one !) of the Rooke family patriarch operating at the front end of Fflashpoint.

The evening was spent telling stories of what could have been over dinner looking over what continues to be one of the best views in Perth.

Missing in action this week were Mary-Anne Reid and Kristine Petterson who were separately each celebrating significant birthdays with their families. Happy Birthday to both.
