Special guest at presentations was 97 yr old Len Randell, the original designer of the Pelican in the 1950’s. A great example to keep sailing, as he’s still seen sailing at SoPYC
Two special awards to wrap the racing up, Most Improved to the team on Sonic – Taj and Freddie from GYC.
And the spinnaker was awarded to Ruby, the skipper of Cool Runnings, for the best reason for needing a new sail. “Cause I really need one and my dad won’t even buy me a new shackle let alone a new spinnaker for my boat. It will help me sail better and improve me and my crew.” Well done Ruby.
