There are a few things about this week’s schedule that may affect you.

Midweek Series – For Division 3, it’s time for another pursuit race. All other divisions, it’s business as usual.

Twilight Series – For all divisions, for the remaining two races of the series, the start time is now 1815. Everyone will be starting 5 minutes earlier as per the schedule.

Billy Run – Boats that have nominated for this event and registered with EFYC by the deadline, there is a pre-race briefing at EFYC this Thursday 4th March.

Windward / Leeward Racing – The annual one-design classes windward leeward racing begins this Saturday morning at 0900. Classes invited include s80, S97 and Viper 640.

Saturday Series – For all classes and divisions except for the Red Witches and Viper 640s, Saturday afternoon will be non-consistency races. Red Witches are scheduled to have a marathon race while the Viper 640s have a Club Championship.

Moth Sprint Series – Subject to entries, SoPYC will again play host to the Moth foilers following Keelboat racing this Saturday afternoon starting at 1630.

Off The Beach Racing – For all classes this Sunday, it will be Club Championship racing. With only 2 more Club Championship days remaining following this weekend, pressure is on for all not to miss this Sunday.

Alright, that’s it. Let’s roll!     Hey, let’s be careful out there.

WEATHER FORECAST

EVENTS

TWILIGHT SERIES

Experience racing into the sunset and finishing under a brilliant summer moon that only the Twilight Series can offer. If you’re lucky you may even catch the ISS streak overhead. Twilights have been designed with short courses to keep boats relatively close to the Club and being jib and main only boats are not so dependant on skilled crew required for spinnaker work, keeping in line with the more relaxed style of racing Twilights are known for.

REMOTE CONTROL YACHT RACING

There is a regular group of Members who meet each Friday afternoon at 3pm on the Western Hardstand for a couple of hours of intense racing and camaraderie.

Visitors are warmly welcomed to sit and watch or even give it a go. You only need to ask.

To register your DF95 yacht for racing, simply use the entry button below and select the Singlehanded classes section.

EQUIPMENT AUDIT FORMS

Skippers, please note that your Equipment Audit Forms have now expired as of June 30. To be eligible to compete in the new season starting from Opening Day on Oct 4, a new Equipment Form must be submitted online. Most, if not all Skippers have had their previous Audit form submitted online via YachtSafe already, so it should be relatively easy to resubmit a new form in time for your first race of the new season and the good news is that you can view your previous form in Past Audits on your YachtSafe dashboard.

YACHT TRACKERS

The ability to replay club fleet races is now available. Try the free Yacht Bot tracking software yourself. It can be downloaded and installed on your smartphone or tablet via an App. If you interested and don’t mind taking your electronic device with you on the water, please let us know. Past races can be viewed using the button below.
