It’s hard to believe it has been 10 years since Graeme passed away.  His wife, Julie and the family never miss presenting his memorial trophy and reminding us of Graeme’s love of and involvement in the Club.

Many of the skippers still returning from the fishing trip to Montebello’s, (Note correction from Abrolhos’s in week). The fleet numbers of just 11 boats were out on the water on a bright sunny afternoon.   Floss, aka Commodore Fiona from Mounts Bay Yacht Club, thoroughly enjoyed her first time trial as a guest on board M&Ms with Commodore Cookie and Maria. Floss is sure she can drum up interest from MBYC poweries to come and join in our competition.

Low scores around 11 checked marks on the course, are keeping the fleet results eagerly awaited and competitive. Least points scores of just 4 points by Thanet and Tikkiytboo, keeps Guy Skinner and Jason Claricoates in the hunt for awards at our October prize night.

Congratulations to The Board Room, Steve and Diane Clarke who were the trophy winners on the day with the best score on handicap.  Tikkityboo and Thanet were 2nd and 3rd on handicap.

Next week will be busy with the SMS Trophy on Saturday sponsored by Carl Segretto, followed on Sunday morning by the very popular Royal Freshwater Bay event, the Kylie Cup incorporating CPYA State Heat 7.   Good luck to our teams
