What to Expect Sailing on the Swan River
Melville Water is Perth’s primary sailing location with steady sea breezes on really flat water. SoPYC is only minutes away from the best part of the river where we can use a window of the days sunlight to sail in almost any wind strength. Perfect for ALL OTB classes to enjoy!Enquiries:

Welcome to the 2024 SoPYC Winter Invitational Series. We hope to welcome sailors from all around the river and coast to come join in for some competitive sailing!
This years format will see Consistency/Handicap sailing take the fore, and this competition hopefully gives all sailors an avenue to begin preparations for the coming summer event schedule!
Quick Notes:
– SoPYC sailors, please make sure your entry is up to date from summer, and for all others – make sure you enter ASAP!
– Soup! Fresh soup cups available free of charge to competitors after a chilly day on the water, so make sure your in the bar afterwards for presentations!
