Power Boating at SoPYC
Power Boating at South of Perth Yacht Club is designed to allow members a range of choices to get the best out of the powerboat of their choice.
The headline power activity is Time-Trialing, where boats compete over a set course based around the Swan Rivers navigational and safety marks, at a speed (knots) which they themselves select. Points are awarded for early or late arrival at each mark of the course. The activity has obvious benefits. Skippers and navigators quickly gain an intimate knowledge of the Swan River and also gain in boat handling skills. The camaraderie within the Time-trial group is second to none, leading to enjoyable sessions both on the water and ashore.
So regardless of your intended use of your powerboat, the South of Perth Yacht Club has a niche designed just for you!
