Windsurfing Lessons

We are currently running three levels of windsurfing courses.

Attending as many of the sessions as possible will lead to better success, enjoyment, and potential to move onto more advanced options.

The sessions run on a weekday afternoon, 4:00 – 6:30pm.

Windsurfing Courses

The Start Windsurfing Beginner course is designed to teach essential fundamental skills.

Safety and good technique for quickly advancing skills are what we are about.

The sessions run Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 for 4 consecutive weeks. It is highly recommended to do all sessions

The Better Windsurfing Course is for those that have done the beginners course and can sail upwind (or get back home) in most wind conditions.

Get Ready for water starts, using a harness, carve gybing and being able to race in a Bic Techno or Windsurfer LT or get ready for Foil Windsurfing.

Learn to choose and set up your own equipment to suit the conditions.

The Start Racing – Windsurfing Course is for those wanting to extend skills to racing

The courses are ideally suited to:
  • Adults with no sailing experience but the determination to learn
  • Current Opti Gold fleet sailors
  • Current Youth sailors
  • Other Club sailors wanting to improve their skills by cross-training

There is no age limit but expect generally between 12 and 50 to be ideal

The fee includes coaching and the use of Club equipment including:
  • Bic Techno boards
  • Windsurfer One Design
  • Windsurfer LT
  • Wide School Boards
  • Windwing Introduction
  • Various sail sizes to suit

The course fee is in the registration links which includes coaching and the use of equipment.

Please note that our courses run over our summer season and are closed for winter.
