Engines On, Sails Off!!

Kim Giddens, MLA for Bateman made our morning huddle extra special by announcing the Labour Party’s commitment to donate $38k if Labour gets re-elected. As Sailability thrives on donations, we couldn’t be more excited about our prospects. First on the shopping list would be new 303 dinghies to replace our rather tired ones. Thank you to Kim and Commodore Brian for all your support.

Even the wind was celebrating the happy news with us. If you remember, the last time Kim visited, we had to tow her back. Last Wednesday however, it wouldn’t stop wreaking havoc on our sails even before we started sailing. It was a ‘tough’ decision whether to sail or not. In the end, much to the ‘dismay of some anti-engine skippers’, we all powered out for the session. Thank you SoPYC for the powerboat loans, which truly made it extra special for our participants, who had already been out of action for 3 weeks.
