Joy Skinner, Past Commodore Guy Skinner’s mother, celebrated her 90th birthday with friends at the Club last Sunday.

Joy’s late husband, Jim Skinner, will be remembered as one of the Club’s flag officers by those who were around in the 1980’s and an enthusiastic competitor in what was a very strong Red Witch class before moving into a larger Farr 727.

Celebrating the occasion were Joy’s children – Meredith, Guy and Randall along with Club patron Colin Cowden and Judy, and several former members including Les and Gloria Hollands and Jaime Stalker.

Congratulations, Joy. We all hope to be around to see you reading King Charles’ telegram in ten years from now!
