Adult Dinghy Learn to Sail Courses

Whether you're new to sailing or looking to get back on the water, our Adult Learn to Sail Dinghy courses offer a fun and supportive environment to build your skills. Learn in small groups aboard our club-owned RS Quests, designed to comfortably fit two adult sailors and an onboard coach.

These courses are perfect for beginners, with no previous sailing experience required. Over four 3-hour sessions, you’ll learn the fundamentals of dinghy sailing, including boat handling, different roles on board, and on-water safety.

Learn alongside like-minded people. We offer both beginner and intermediate courses. With a clear progression pathway, we’re here to help you take the next step in your sailing journey.

Adult Dinghy Learn to Sail - Step 1 (Start Sailing)

Start Sailing is our introductory sailing course for adults and families who are looking to learn how to sail. 

Our course aims to deliver a fun, on-water experience while teaching the fundamental skills of sailing in a way that allows participants to experience the thrill of sailing across all roles in our club-owned fleet of RS Quests. 

Prerequisites:

  • Water confident and safe
  • Ready to try new experiences and skills
  • Families, please note the minimum age of 15. Sailors under 18 will be required to have an on-board parent.
