E-Sailing VR Regatta

Welcome to the world of e-sailing! Initially setup as an alternative to club sailing during the COVID-19 pandemic, this popular form of racing was run Thursday afternoons. Spectators are also able to watch on without affecting the racing!

You can play using your PC or by downloading the App, allowing play on a tablet or smartphone. Your account can be linked through these multiple platforms enabling access however you please. It is all free to download and play! However, once registered there are some useful optional add-on’s that are available for purchase.

The last series of races for 2020 were held on Thursday 26 November. Following this the weekly e-sailing has taken a break as regular On-Water competitions, regattas and weekly races have recommenced.

At this stage there are currently no plans to re-commence, however we will monitor expressions of interest for the future.

You can fill out the adjacent EOI form, and should anything get off the ground you will be notified directly with a recommencement date and publicised in Coffee Pointers weekly e-news. In the meantime please direct any enquiries to the Assistant Sailing Administrator at [email protected]

How do I get started?

Regardless off if your looking for club racing our just to have a look at what it’s all about, follow the steps below to get you going.

Step 1. Create an account on VR Regatta In-Shore

Step 2. Once you have a VR account you register for SoPYC Member

Enter SoPYC Races

Step 3. Once you have registered for SoPYC races, your name will automatically appear in the Entrants List

Step 4. Click the button to go to the VR Inshore game
