St Ayless Skiff Rowing

South of Perth Yacht Club has two St Ayles skiffs that were built by members from the Bosun’s Club. These skiffs are club property and available for all members to use.

About the St Ayles Skiff: Each skiff is crewed by four sweep rowers and a coxswain. These boats are surprisingly easy to row, emphasizing the importance of timing over sheer power. This activity is perfect for all ages, offering a fantastic way to make new friends, build teams, and improve your fitness.

Join Us: We have a dedicated group that rows on Sunday mornings, but we have room for many more. Why not come along and give it a try? No experience required. We will be going out all through Christmas and New Year so it’s a perfect opportunity to get out on the water if you can’t go sailing. Get involved and experience one of the fastest-growing water activities in the world!

Form Your Own Group: If you want to form your own group of five or more, the skiffs are available seven days a week following a brief familiarisation session.
