Members Opportunity

Premier Publishing are putting together the Club’s Official Corporate Brochure again this year and want to offer existing members and sponsors a chance to profile in the publication for a 16 month period. The brochure will be designed as high-end marketing collateral and will be used extensively by the club and Premier Publishing on behalf of the club to raise our profile within our local area in order to increase revenue streams from new members, use of facilities, events, corporate sponsorship, training & conferencing facilities etc. As such, distribution and circulation is maintained for 16 months.

They are due to publish in late August, and invitations are currently being provided to certain local businesses and organisations to profile themselves in the brochure for the period. Positions are strictly invitation only – you must be local, well established, have products or services of distinct benefit or interest to the readership (particularly the members and the Club) as well as the external readership. It is completed this way to ensure that only the highest quality of services are provided by the advertisers. Premier Publishing offers all members a reduced rate and their design studio free of charge to create an advert for you (optional) with copyright relinquished to you.

The brochures will be situated in high visibility areas around the Club (clubhouse, restaurant, bars, reception etc) for the 16 month period. The brochure is free of charge and all guests and visitors throughout the 16 month period will be offered and encouraged to take copies. All members, sponsors and club suppliers are provided copies. Premier Publishing estimate the total readership to be a minimum of 70,000 per edition.

If you are interested in participating please contact Wayne at Premier Publishing on wayne.smith@clubbrochure.com.au or mobile 0422 058 799

Swan River Channel Closures - 4 April

Please be advised that from 4 April, a 600m stretch of the Swan River between Burswood and East Perth will be closed to all river users to allow for the construction of Matagarup Bridge. The installation and erection of the large arches, which will form the main features of the bridge, requires a complex sequence of anchor lines and cables in and across the navigation channel to stabilise the barges and move bridge sections into position. Following close consultation with the Department of Transport (DoT), the Swan River Pedestrian Bridge Alliance (SRPBA) will be closing the channel to all vessels to protect worker and public safety. The river will be closed to all vessels, 300m to the north and 300m to the south of the bridge piers. Recreational users will not be able to access the area for up to eight weeks, the channel reopening date will be advertised on Main Roads website when it is confirmed. The closures will be marked by signage and rows of navigational buoys. Spotter boats will be used to patrol the closure points and make sure no vessels enter the restricted zone.

SRPBA has been working closely with DoT and commercial river operators to manage the impacts of the closure on their operations. Unfortunately, no access can be provided to recreational river users at this time.
We regret the disruptions we will cause through this period and ask for the public’s understanding while we undertake this critical stage of work. For further information please visit www.mainroads.wa.gov.au, or contact Main Roads Customer Information Centre on 138 138 or email enquiries@mainroads.wa.gov.au
