South of Perth Yacht Club enjoys a spectacular location on the Swan and Canning Rivers overlooking Perth City.

St Georges College – for cheap university Accommodation across the river

The University Of Western Australia, St George’s College, has student rooms and even a few townhouses that it rents out during Uni holidays.
Different options range in price, depending on whether you have an en-suite or if you’re willing to share a room. At the cheapest, (shared double room and shared bathroom) your looking at $70 pp per night. 5 sharing one of their townhouses would be $95 pp per night. If you want your own single room with an en suite that’s $140 a night.
The accommodation is 11km from the South Of Perth Yacht Club. It’s a $20 Uber ride. This is an excellent option if you can share the ride.

ME Freight Management from Perth is run by a helpful dinghy sailor Clayton Erwin, if you need a contact.  Generally, containers go on trains and depart on Fridays from the East Coast and land in Perth on Monday.

40-foot containers are needed to keep masts in one piece.  It’s fairly tight to go 4 high.  3 is more manageable and leaves space for masts.
