Racing Yacht Wash-Downs

We are pleased to advise skippers of racing yachts and twilight participants, that we are able to offer a special rate for hull wash-downs. The wash-down is for a lift and drop and 30 minutes cleaning of the hull. It can be organised by telephoning the bosun to arrange a time that is convenient for the skipper and fits into the lifting bookings. Should the wash-down be longer than 30 minutes, the rate will increase in $15 increments per quarter hour.

For racing yachts less than 8m the price is $45.00; 8m- less than 10m the price is $60.00; 10m- less than 12m the price is $75.00; 12m- less than 15m the price is $90.00 and for vessels 15m – less than 18m the price is $100.
Please call Paul the Bosun to arrange on 0430 109 859

Jetty Wheelbarrows

To assist Members in carrying items to and from their vessels, wheelbarrows are located at the start of each jetty. The practice of wheelbarrow use is that the barrows are returned to the jetty gangways when they have done the job, i.e been used to transport equipment to your vessel. Unfortunately, many Members are leaving the barrows at their pens leaving other members to search for barrows to carry items to their boats. We're sure you can all imagine the frustration this causes. As a matter of courtesy please return the barrows to the start of the jetty so other members can use them without wasting time looking for a barrow that is sitting at a pen waiting for a boat owner/contractor/crew member to return the barrow for others to use.

Navigators-Skippers Time Trial 28 July 2018

With the weather gods on our side last weekend, the twenty-four power yachts competing in the Navigator-Skippers’ time trial could not have asked for a better day on the Swan River. There were some pretty fancy scores out there too – enough to suggest that some of the navigators are just as good on the helm as their regular skippers …
