Firstly, we would like to draw your attention to the new website and in particular the menu items located under ‘On Water’.

All your sailing needs including Power Yachts can be found in this one drop-down menu.

The New Red Book
The new format Red Book (including the Notice of Race and Schedule of Events) is now available from the On Water Group Office.

Boat Insurance
A copy of your boat’s Certificate of Insurance is required to be submitted to the main administration office. However, you are no longer required to submit a second time when nominating your boat for racing.

Equipment Audit Forms
All boats – Keelboats and Off The Beach are required to submit the Equipment Audit Forms to OWG before their first race in the 2018-2019 season.
Safety Cat 7 is suitable for keelboat racing on the river.
Safety Cat 6 is required for keelboats competing in the SoPYC Billy Run race to TCYC in Feb 2019 and will also cover river racing.
The forms are self-auditing. You do not need an Equipment Auditor to inspect your boat and equipment, however, spot checks will be carried out during the season by our Club Equipment Auditors. These inspections are done to ensure the minimum level of safety is maintained for your boat and crew. In the unlikely event your boat does not pass an inspection, you will be given appropriate advice and time to fix up any inconsistencies. Auditors are available to assist you with any queries you may have.
SoPYC has 5 National Equipment Auditors:
A full list of Australian Equipment Auditors can be found by clicking here.
