A message from the Grand Sponsor Chair
|
The Grand Sponsor Scheme has been providing funds to support our Juniors for more than 25 years, with some “Golden Anchor” Grand Sponsor companies having contributed since inception. Each week our Grand Sponsors are acknowledged and thanked by flag officers at ALL results announcements and in publications. While the Member’s company donation is philanthropic, Grand Sponsors and their nominees benefit with extra F&B discounts, marketing and events to show the Clubs’ gratitude. We are excited the welcome to the new Marketing staff member in early December to support the Grand Sponsor scheme administration.

Whilst acknowledging that the continued swapping of Presentation locations around the building is not ideal (and the cause of some of the extra noise at these times), a respectful silence would be appreciated when competitors are receiving their pennants and prizes.

Diary Dates- Upcoming Functions
|
- Sunday 12 December 2021- Kids Christmas Party 11.30am- 3pm, for kids aged up to 12 years. Kids receive a cupcake, ice cream, juice box and hotdog. Activities include a visit from Santa, face painting, rides, bouncy castle and much more. Save the date, more details to come!
- New Years Eve 2021: Back by popular demand, Greg Schultz and his band will take us into the New Year. Tickets are $120, including cover charge and dinner. Set menu and complimentary drink on arrival. Booking will open soon through Eventbrite. Save the date!

Sailability participants and able bodied volunteers enjoyed another spring morning of sailing last Wednesday.
|
The Sailability sponsor of the week is Linfox who have supplied us with a shipping container at no cost. The container is waterproof and used to store Sailability’s life jackets, sails and spars, bean bags, ropes and rigging, cleaning products and sunburn cream etc. Thank you to Linfox logistical solutions.
|
Sailability at SoPYC is run by a group of dedicated club members and active volunteers every Wednesday morning giving participants each week the joy and experience of sailing.
|
We have a waiting list of people wanting to sail but are we limited by not having enough volunteers to assist us. Volunteers are always welcome – contact Liz on 0419 949 006 or email sailabilitysopyc@gmail.com
