Half Yearly Meeting Wednesday 28th April to be conducted in SoPYC Clubhouse at 7.00pm - Amended Advice

In the Bulletin to Members distributed yesterday after the Government Directions were issued by the Premier, we advised members that the Half Yearly Meeting was being postponed due to the maximum number of members allowed in the club which is 20 at any one time. This is less than the quorum of 50 members needed for a meeting to proceed.

Under the Rules several requirements must be met to properly fulfill this advice to members. Consequently, the Half Yearly meeting will proceed in accordance with the Notice of Motion.

The Half Yearly Meeting will be convened at 7.00PM on Wednesday 28th April in accordance with the Notice of Meeting distributed to all members.
|
Attendance at the meeting will be subject to the State government directives issued on Monday 26th April. For Clubs this is a maximum of 20 Members excluding staff.
|
Regrettably, this is less than the requisite quorum for the meeting to proceed on this date so the meeting will need be formally adjourned in accordance with Rule 56 and Rule 56 (5) (a) which directs how this is achieved. Any future meeting will be subject to the restrictions imposed by the State Government on the maximum number of members allowed in Clubs. The quorum of the future meeting will be those voting members present at the starting time of the adjourned meeting.
