Dear Members,
At lunchtime today, Monday 26th April, the Premier announced an easing of restrictions. The restrictions announced today remain in effect until 12:01am Saturday 1st May, 2021. Updates to the restrictions will be announced leading up to Saturday 1st May, 2021.

The eased restrictions are:

· 4sqm capacity rule and 20 patron limit for clubs, cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs - for
seated food and drink service only;
· Mandatory wearing of face masks;
· SafeWA App to be used or manual sign in;
· 20-person limit in all homes and private indoor and outdoor gatherings;
· 4sqm capacity rule and 20 patron limit for beauty salons, hairdressers and barbers;
· recreation centres, outdoor playgrounds, museums, swimming pools, entertainment
venues and places of worships can open with the 4sqm capacity rule and 20 patron
limit;
· fitness clubs, gyms, casinos and nightclubs remain closed;
· no visitors to aged and disability facilities and hospitals, except for compassionate
reasons and advocacy;
· with a permit, weddings and funerals can proceed with up to 100 guests with an
exemption and a COVID-Event plan in place;
· professional and community sports, including training, allowed but without spectators;
· schools, childcare centres and TAFEs will open with masks mandatory for school staff
and secondary students; and
· universities can open for online learning only.

Impacts on SoPYC Activities:
  1. The Half Yearly Meeting scheduled on Wednesday 28th April is postponed until further notice due to the venue capacity being less than the quorum required to conduct the meeting;
2. Food and beverage services – bars and dining – will remain closed until restrictions
limiting member patronage numbers are lifted. It is hoped that this will occur when
updates to this round of restrictions are revised and updated;

3. Power Opening Day will be assessed and will be subject to the restrictions in place on
Saturday 1st May. Updates on how future restrictions may impact the opening day will
be distributed during the week as they are announced;

4. Group training for the Academy has been cancelled. The Head Coach will keep
members informed of changes;

5. Some staff will be working from home and some staff will be in the office. Please
communicate with staff via their email addresses to minimise the need to access the
admin offices;

6. Travel lift bookings may proceed with covid-safe restrictions in force. Social distancing,
masks etc.;

7. Community sport will proceed without spectators however, there will be no
presentations after events;

8. Further bulletins will be distributed to members as updates are announced;

Please would all members observe the restrictions in place from time-to-time and observe high hygiene practices during the coming days. If any members think they have been in any of the contact zones or are feeling unwell please get tested.
