Dear Members and Friends,

We are saddened to announce the passing of past member William (Bill) Waldby. Bill was a member of the Club for over 36 years, having sailed on numerous boats during his time. Notably Acrospire, Jindarra & Sulphur.
|
|
He owned 2 Swagman’s over that period: an RL24 and finally a S&S34 which he built at Swarbricks yard in Jolimont.
|
Bill represented South of Perth in many offshore, inshore & river racing events; and definitely loved the Wednesday evening twilighting.
|
He had many friends at the South of Perth Yacht Club and always fondly remembered the great times he had.
|
Unfortunately the affects of Parkinsons stopped him from sailing in the mid 2000’s but he was always interested in any sailing news, local news in particular.
|
Bill's funeral will be held at Seasons Funerals; 401 Wanneroo Road Balcatta on Thursday 8th April at 10am.
|
