The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Weather Warning for DAMAGING WINDS and HEAVY RAINFALL for the Lower West, South West and Great Southern districts. Heavy rain and squally conditions are forecast for Perth and surrounds Friday afternoon.

Weather Situation: A cold front will cross southwest WA during Friday afternoon. HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is likely to develop from late Friday morning.

Conditions are expected to ease late Friday night. DAMAGING WINDS with gusts to 90 kilometres per hour are possible and could cause DAMAGE TO HOMES AND PROPERTY during Friday afternoon.

It is strongly recommended that members check their vessels in advance of the approaching front to ensure vessels, sails and loose equipment is secured safely.

Locations which are likely to be impacted are Perth and Mandurah. Other centres include Bunbury, Collie, Harvey and Yanchep.

This is typical weather for this time of the year but winds may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous.
