CRUISING BUTTERFLIES - Thanks from the Families

Members, volunteers and sponsors who supported the Cruising Butterflies event in April may like to read the attached heartfelt thanks from the families that were hosted on the day, many making special mention of their skippers. Such a fulfilling day for all concerned.

We look forward to another successful event in 2019 ~ Bert Giancristofaro

I just want to pass on my thanks to Kalparrin and the South of Perth Yacht club for the amazing day on Sunday with my family.
My Son had such a great time, as did the rest of the family.
Having a Son with a disability means life can be hard sometimes for our family but it’s fun days like yesterday that allow us to relax and have a fun day.

I was hoping you could pass on a message for me to the South of Perth Yacht club.
(I was unable to find an email address for them online, but did fill in an enquiry form, but really wanted to make sure this message got to David)

We had to leave early and didn’t get a change to thank the skipper, David (Pearson??), Charles and Beth, the boat was called the Scalloway. Please pass on my thanks to him, he made my Son`s weekend.
The gift of the Koala bear at the end was really touching and my Son loves it. David was so lovely and made an effort with my Son and my family and I cant thank him enough for his time.
THANKS DAVID !!!

Thanks to everyone involved, keep up the great work

Thanks

Ryan Kelly Ari and Sage Houston

Just wanted to say a big 'thank you' to you all for organising this event. It was a wonderful day and I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts. They made the day just magical for my son, he was a little hesitant at the start but by the end he was walking around the boat comfortably and also steering. He had the time of his life. We would love to do this event again. Xx
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good evening. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kalparrin management, volunteers and sponsors. You all are awesome! From arrival at the event to the exit we enjoyed every bit of it and its no exception to other Kalparrin events. We made friends with other families, captain of our vessel (John) and his wonderful wife (Lyn).
Once again thanks to the leadership of Kalparrin and the team members. You should be proud of yourselves, leaving a trail of nice examples to the future Australians.

Kind Regards
Faisal and family

Power Yacht Section - State Championship Heat 1

Tough Love Time Trialling is supposed to be one of those laid-back activities where nobody gets over-excited but drivers and navigators combine their talents in an effort to arrive at every mark at precisely the right time or risk losing a point per second for early or late arrivals. State Championship Heat 1 put all those preconceptions to rest.  Winds …

Radio Sailing is back at SoPYC on Friday 8 June 2018

Radio Sailing at SoPYC - Friday 25 May at 2:00pm

Thank you to all those brave souls who ventured down to SoPYC in anticipation of a sail on the 25th. As you are no doubt aware conditions were absolutely diabolical. The combination of the very high storm tide and strong north wind saw waves crashing over the protective groyne making sailing impossible.

However, Mark and Rod Popham took their ‘Dragon Flyte 95s’ into the Heritage room and had a good discussion with several of the interested people that turned up. Considering the weather, it was a good first time showing.

It’s hoped that we can try again on Friday the 8th June with sailing commencing at 2.00pm.
