Dear Members,

We are pleased to be able to advise members of the activities and services available over the weekend and the government restrictions we are all obliged to fulfil while on the club grounds and premises.

Please note that these arrangements may change with a minimum of notice if there is a further community spread Covid-19 case reported.

Sailing and Training

Both keelboat and off the beach sailing has been cancelled this weekend.
Club training on Sunday has also been cancelled.

A decision about whether we will conduct Wednesday afternoon and twilight sailing will be made on Monday or Tuesday.

Whether training sessions for OTB classes this week will be provided will also be decided on Monday.

Personal social sailing and individual use of boats for exercise may be undertaken provided that the Covid-19 restrictions are adhered to i.e. 4sqm rule applied to numbers on board and masks being worn.

Food and Beverage

Food and beverage service will be available from lunchtime on Saturday. We are using Friday
evening (5 th Feb) to reinstate the clubhouse after closing last Sunday.

As we did back in June 2020, the Ball Room will be set up for dining and bar service. When required, the Ward Room will also be in use. The Yachtsmans Bar and Quarterdeck will be closed until next weekend.

It is important to note that we are not permitted to serve members at the bar so beverage and food orders will be taken from your table while you are seated.

Under the 4sqm rule, we can accommodate 90 members in the Ball Room and 50 members in the Ward Room. This excludes staff numbers and complies with the 150 patron maximum stipulated by the restrictions for the next 9 days.

To avoid disappointment or risk being declined admission as a “walk-in” please book your tables in advance.

All F&B service will be to tables and members must be seated at all times so bar service and
socialising will need to fit within these guidelines. Masks must be worn at all times albeit, the Health Minister did say on radio this morning that they can be removed when consuming food and beverages. We will be grateful if members did not place staff in a position that they need to enforce the seating requirements for service.

Ladies Tuesday Lunch
Regrettably, this has been postponed due to the restrictions in place. The next lunch will be the usual Tuesday in March.

75 th Anniversary Celebrations
13 th February Cocktail Party and 14th February Reunion of Members

The restrictions on member numbers in the clubhouse means that we are also obliged to postpone the 75 th Anniversary celebration on Saturday and the Reunion afternoon tea on Sunday. We will advise members and guests of the alternative dates as soon as we can.

Travel Lift Service

The travel lift will return to operation on Monday 8th February.

Keeping Safe

The SafeWA app or the manual register must be completed each time you visit the club whether it be for boating, using the clubrooms or attending committee or other meetings. QR log-in sheets for the Safe WA app are located at the entrance to all jetties and the clubrooms whether centreboard clubhouse or the main clubhouse. Please be diligent. The records are kept for 30 days then destroyed.

Kind Regards,
David Harries
General Manager
