Dear Members and Friends,
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Club Member, Lachlan Hatch.

Lachlan passed away suddenly on Sunday evening. In the last 18 months Lachlan endured a string of medical ailments which only a strong-willed man could face with such determination and good nature. He continued sailing during this period when his health permitted.

Since joining the club and purchasing Space Sailer 22 “Shakedown” in 2015, Lachlan was a regular and accomplished participant. He assembled a diverse, faithful and friendly crew who were always competitive and good humoured. They all shared a strong bond witnessed by them all in “crew hug” in the car park one evening after sailing.

Undoubtedly all members that knew Lachlan will be mourning his passing and sending their condolences to his wife Sue and son Matthew, friends and other family.

On behalf of the Flag Officers, Management Committee, staff, and Members we extend our sincere condolences.

We will notify members of funeral arrangements as they come to hand.

Kind Regards,
