COFFEE POINTERS I WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK

23 June 2020

Dear reader,
It is a welcome relief to be writing more positively about Covid-19.

From Saturday 27th June, restrictions for licensed clubs are being lifted and it sounds as though we will be getting more relief in mid-July too.

From Saturday we will be able to enjoy less restrictive requirements when we are using the Club's food and beverage services.

Our capacities have been increased by the removal of the 100/300 rule however we still need to observe the 2sqm rule when in the clubhouse. The Wardroom bar can only cater for 75 members but we can now stand rather than sit at tables. The Ballroom can cater for up to 200 members dining. Nobody will need to complete the Covid Tracing Register either. We can also start conducting events.

This evening the Management Committee with be discussing the recommencement of the presentation of results in the Clubhouse. The decision will be communicated to Members as soon as possible.

There will be acoustic guitarist here on Saturday night and an oyster shucker so please join us and enjoy using your club.

This Saturday Night at the Club

With the lifting of restrictions still further, and the ability to now use our bar area without seating, we invite you down to enjoy Saturday Night at the Club.

Make a reservation for dinner this Saturday, and receive a complimentary glass of Oyster Bay Sparkling on arrival, enjoy the acoustic tunes of Mark Stone in the Ballroom from 7pm, and freshly shucked oysters at the Ballroom bar from 6pm - 8pm. $25 per dozen or $15 for half dozen.

Full menus for dinner and a full bar menu are available. Numbers are still limited so please make your booking at barbookings@sopyc.com.au or online to reserve your table from 6pm.

For those who prefer a quieter night, the Wardroom is also available as a bar from 5pm with a bar menu available. Number are still restricted to 75 in this area to stay in line with the 2sqm rule.

Come and help celebrate life almost back to normal.
