Each Friday from 3pm to 5.30pm the club is conducting races for DragonFlite95 (DF95) radio controlled yachts. You are invited to come and participate in the fun of racing these restricted one-design yachts. There are currently fifteen DF95s belonging to members of SoPYC and they will be happy to hand over the controls for you to 'have a go'. A DF95 …

With RO Les reporting a fairly constant 20 knots with gusts to 24 knots, Sunday’s conditions could safely be described as “boisterous” for the first of our Club Championships which didn’t seem to worry Greg and Hector on Spot the difference who won both heats by healthy margins.
|
|
John and Matt (Ffast Lane 4) were leading the second race at the last buoy when Matt, who had unhooked his hobbles on the downwind leg, failed to hook up again for the upwind and remembered a moment too late. Is that a bell I hear ringing ??
|

John and Richard had Ffoenix out for the first time this season to win the Silver division and have a couple of extra items for the “to do list” for next week.

Another full program for next weekend with the annual Tally Hobbs Regatta at RFBYC on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and then back home for our normal multiple races starting at 1325hrs

For a few months now, the Club has been inviting members to comment on the draft new rules and by-laws that the Club proposes to adopt at a General Meeting and put to government for approval to comply with the Associations Incorporation Act.
