DISCLAIMER AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RIGHTS FORM
Each crew member participating in the 52nd Geraldton Ocean Classic shall complete this form.
The person who signs below: Acknowledges and accepts the risks (including the risk of harm to persons and property and the risks associated with the perils of the sea and the seaworthiness of any boat) associated with participation in the 52nd Geraldton Ocean Classic and waives all rights against and releases South of Perth Yacht Club (SoPYC), and their respective officers, employees, volunteers and members, in respect of any loss of life or injury to persons, or loss or damage to property, suffered in connection therewith; Confirms that he or she is aware of Racing Rules of Sailing Fundamental Rule 4; Acknowledges that SoPYC owns all media rights in the 52nd Geraldton Ocean Classic and may exercise them as it sees fit; Grants SoPYC, at no cost, the unconditional, perpetual right and authority to publish and broadcast anywhere in the world, for any purpose and in any media, their name, image, likeness or biographical material, or any photograph, video footage or audio record taken of that person prior to, during or after the rally. Acknowledges that participation in the 52nd Geraldton Ocean Classic Rally by the boat and by each person that signs this form is agreed by SoPYC on the basis of this Disclaimer and Acknowledgement and on the basis that participation is entirely at the risk and responsibility of each member of the crew and that SoPYC is not responsible for the boat or its crew;
