It reflects well on the Club’s risk management strategies when one of the Club’s most experienced long keel/single screw power boat drivers is asked to do a formal induction before being permitted to drive Coffee Point on start boat duties.

That’s a roundabout introduction to formally say “thank you” to Garry Morrison for responding to a frantic last-minute request for an accredited driver last Sunday when all the regulars were unavailable for a variety of reasons.

Garry volunteered for the job on Sunday afternoon, was hurried through the induction process and came back to shore with some complimentary observations about how good the boat is to handle.

It’s good to have that confirmed by someone who really knows power boats.
