Members were given from March until the end of June to get their shore power cables tested by Doug Smith at Fire & Electrical Services who are located in Coffee Point Marine. There is no charge for this service if you bring your cable in to him.
Unfortunately there are still quite a few members vessels who are still not compliant.
As of next week, the Bosuns will be instructed to disconnect any cable that does not have a current test tag or has a red “non compliant” tag attached. They will also disconnect cables that are left dragging in the water.
So, if you don’t want your ice cream to melt or your steaks to thaw out, and most importantly the beer to get warm, rush into Doug this week and get your cables tested.
