Brazen, the best of our fleet on both Saturday and Sunday.

A big weekend of Timetrialling with the Club event on Saturday followed by the Kylie Cup/CPYC State Heat 4  hosted by RFBYC on Sunday morning.

The starters checked 11 marks on Saturday however competitors wont spot the Check boats…with only 3 boats on the water, the rest of the marks are checked from secret locations onshore or from the start box.  The number of checks was reflected in the results with only 2 boats, Brazen and Dalusional scoring single digit scores.

Fleet winners in the Starboard fleet Chilly Mussel, Steve and Julie Leech we’re thrilled to collect a first flag for their 12 point score, August Moon – Julie and Tony Walther just one point behind with 13 points collected a second, and Brian and Tina Smith on board Indiana collected 3rd place flag with 19 points.

Early Sunday morning was abuzz on our jetties with first boats off at 9.30am in the Kylie Cup /CPYC State Heat 4 hosted by RFBYC. A huge fleet of 53 boats enjoyed the sunny morning including boats from Fremantle, Perth Flying Squadron and Mounts Bay Yacht Clubs, meaning 7 clubs were represented for the first time since early 2000’s.

Competitors enjoyed a pig on the spit meal while results were complied. RFBYC boat Stramash was winner of the Kylie Cup with 5 points while Brazen, Tracey & Anthony a total scored 7 points lost. While some results are subject to protest, Brazen was our only boat to score single digits from the 16 marked checkpoints.

This Saturday’s event is the last of the CPYC State Heats at RFBYC. You must nominate via the RFBYC webpage.
