Our reserve day, usually set aside for the Commodores Ball, means we are six weeks into the shortened Coffee Point Marine 2020 season. Thanet is a clear leader with another Least Points flag this week shared with Dalusional. The 2 teams could not be separated having the same number of zeros, ones and twos. Thanet, PC Guy Skinner and Richard Evans, took out Club honours with least points of 8 and a handicap win in the previous weeks Ti Tu Invitation event.
With a smaller fleet of 17 boats, congratulations to the handicap winner Detour, David Markham and Deon Moore with 16 points, from second place Tikkity Boo Jason Claricoates and Caroline James with 18 points. Troy Dalglish and Victoria Blanckensee on Dalusional, collected the third flag with 19 handicap points.
A reminder that our Power Section, the AGM is this coming Thursday evening at 7.30pm after Chase the Ace and also the Membership draw for the weekend accommodation at Crown Towers with the use of Bayswater Mazda MX5 thrown in.
All members are encouraged to attend our AGM. All portfolio positions nominations are filled with exception of our Social & Functions coordinator. If you would like to assist the committee and take on this role, please speak to David Markham or Mark Hayman.
Our next event is a club event on Saturday 8th, followed by the next State Heat on Saturday the 15th, being hosted by Royal Perth Yacht Club. You must nominate through RPYC website.
After the State Heat, Claremont Yacht Club have invited all Members to attend their Power Opening Day Seafood and Cocktail Party from 5pm. Poster says entertainment provided by international DJ, $10 cocktails, $5 craft beers and delicious seafood buffet for $40. Book direct at Claremont Yacht Club. Claremont always put on a top notch night which books out quickly, so make your reservation today if you wish to attend. There are no plans for results at RPYC after the heat this time.
