This week marks the start of the Jane Brook Wine Midweek Winter Series on Wednesday. For this series the H28s will use a new course 1 and now have their own Midweek course sheet. Division 3, while there have not been any course changes, also have their own Midweek course sheet. Course sheets are available in the racks outside the On Water Group office and also online – click here.
Unfortunately, due to complications at sea the Information Night – Vessel Long Voyage Preparation has had to be postponed. We expect Mark and Andrew will be available later in the year to present this information session.
The Good Grocer Frostbite Series continues this coming Sunday 1st August. The current weather forecast has the wind up there again, but it’s still early days.
Thanks to Club member Rick Steuart, we have a whole gallery full of moments captured on the river on Sunday – click here. Heart goes out to those wonderful volunteers who face the cold and rain day in and day out just to put on a good show for our sailors.
Attention Midweek sailors: Just as a general bit of advice, following the start and when the RPYC boats are charging down towards Foam Buoy for the first time, do try to keep well clear of that area otherwise your pleasant afternoon sail could turn into a real demolition derby. We want to avoid ugly scenes like this, so after rounding Sampson Spit, pass Foam Buoy (55) to starboard and stay safe.
Alright, that’s it. Let’s roll! Hey, let’s be careful out there.
Notice to Competitors
Please keep checking here for important race information for both Keelboats and Off The Beach Boats.

WINTER RULES SESSIONS
Attention all Keelboat, Off the Beach Boats and boards, your Rules session “workshops” commence in June 2021.
Years ago, the rules sessions were Lectures, which later became a mix of Lecture/Tutorial. This year we will be changing to a Workshop/Tutorial format. We have a constant core of sailors who have been advancing their rules knowledge every year & the new format will enable these Core sailors to keep advancing & not get bored.
The “Core” sailors consist of a range of demographics. I would like the experienced sailors to step up and present their tactics and how they use their knowledge & the rules to advance around the course. Then the group can discuss both the tactics and the relevant rules.
The sessions will start at 1800 & last for one hour. It will be beneficial to come to every session as every session will be different & you will be expanding your knowledge from one week to the next. If you cannot attend every week, that is OK, because each week is a stand alone session.
This group has a strong bond which has been created over the years & I hope that experienced sailors who have not attended will come to the sessions to assist & mentor others. Experienced sailors need competition!!!!!
Experienced Sailors we need your assistance so that everyone will benefit and the less experienced Sailors, it is time to get into the heads of the boats at the front!

EQUIPMENT AUDIT FORMS
Skippers, please note that your Equipment Audit Forms have now expired as of June 30. To be eligible to compete in the new season starting from Opening Day on Oct 3, a new Equipment Form must be submitted online. Most, if not all Skippers have had their previous Audit form submitted online via YachtSafe already, so it should be relatively easy to resubmit a new form in time for your first race of the new season and the good news is that you can view your previous form in Past Audits on your YachtSafe dashboard.
YACHT TRACKERS
The ability to replay club fleet races is now available. Try the free Yacht Bot tracking software yourself. It can be downloaded and installed on your smartphone or tablet via an App. If you interested and don’t mind taking your electronic device with you on the water, please let us know. Past races can be viewed using the button below.
