What better way to dodge the heat of Sunday (and the hangover from Saturday) than with 3 races in glamour conditions. Thanks to all race officials for giving up that portion of their long weekend to run a great afternoon. John and Kevin won the first race in She Who Must Be Obeyed but then John’s recent run of remarkable luck continued when a forestay malfunction forced their retirement from the third race. All the results in the usual place.

All manner of advice is normally handed out when sailors get together and the fashion police were quick to point out the lack of symmetry in our Deputy Centreboard Captain’s epaulettes. Our photo isn’t at the ideal angle but keen eyes should be able to pick up the faux pas. Is that a bell I hear ringing Mr Crowbar?

Also on matters of attire, one of our top line forward hands has been conducting sea trials on a pair of the new Zhik racing boots and the conclusion was that the comfort level goes up when they are worn on the correct feet! No names…

As advised last week, the Curry Night is scheduled for this Saturday. The finer points have been conveyed in Fleet Captain Tim’s email.

In order to build an appetite prior to tackling the Curry Night, there is windward/leeward racing at the western end of the river with the fleet from Freshie. Start times and course details from RFBYC or Fleet Captain Tim.

Non-consistency racing is on Sunday at the usual time of 1325hrs.
