Our pre-Christmas season wrapped up on Sunday the 15th December with two “too-good-to-miss” Club Championship heats in superb conditions, followed by a comprehensive set of results and then the Christmas barbecue on the centreboard clubhouse lawns.
Let’s deal with the sailing first, although Greg seems to be struggling to come up with a name for his new boat, he doesn’t have the same trouble with the results when he and Hector won the first race. Pictured receiving their pennants from Commodore Midolo, Hector is looking remarkably like one of the Dunbar boys these days!
Nick and Brad won the second race in Ineffable with Greg and the new Hector second. Consistency results and all the other details are on the website as usual.
The evening was spent lounging on the lawn under the stars with the best view in Perth trying to figure out who was doing 8 knots (or not) down the channel. Thanks to Kim and Neil for setting up while everyone else was sailing.
Our next race is the 12th of January so, for those not involved in National Championships, there’s time to enjoy a Merry Christmas and celebrate a Happy New Year.
