The DAF (Dutch Australian Foundation) is organising an exhibition about the history of Wooden Boat Building in WA and 25 years of Duyfken Replica.

The Duyfken Replica has now departed from WA to Sydney and unfortunately, we cannot celebrate the 25th anniversary together with the ship.  (January 11th, 2022) In 1997 the keel was laid by Dutch Prince Willem Alexander of Orange in front of the Shipwrecks Museum in Fremantle.

That is why we are going to organize an exhibition in the Shipwrecks Museum together with DAF (Dutch Australian Foundation) and support from the former Duyfken Foundation and the West Australian Maritime Museum from December 3, 2021 to April 31, 2022.

Connected to the exhibition in the Shipwrecks gallery will be lectures, workshops, shanty weekend and activities for kids with wooden or paper boat building.

Linked to this, we want to hold a Wooden Boat Parade on the Swan River at the Port of Fremantle Maritime Day the 6th of November 2021. This will be together with support from Fremantle Ports and the Old Gaffers Association.

We are calling all Wooden Boat owners or club members  to register for this parade.
