What a stunning spring day last Sunday 25th October – lunching out on the terrace at Royal Freshies.  5 boats ferried us over from our club to Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club. A pre-lunch glass of bubbles on “Lone Star” with our hosts Amanda and Garry was the perfect way to start our day.

The staff, as usual, welcomed us very warmly and showed us onto the terrace with a commanding view of the river.

22 of us sat down to a great lunch accompanied by the odd glass of wine or two.  It was great to welcome our new SoPYC members Louise and Bob who have bought “Masterpeace” and Brad, Elissa and Ivy with their boat “Bew 2 Ful Girl”.

A big thank you goes to our Cruising Captain Daniel Shields for once again doing a great job of organising this luncheon and to our five “chauffeurs” for transporting us across to Royal Freshies.  We would also like to acknowledge the wonderful and warm hospitality of RFBYC who always make us feel very welcome and who were very accommodating again in providing mooring space for us to bring our boats over.

This is what the Cruising Section is all about, getting our members together to enjoy a wonderful day or weekend together at different venues.

Don’t forget to read “Coffee Pointers” and/or download the Team App (www.teamapp.com and search for “SoPYC Cruising Section App”) to get notifications of our Cruising Section Events.
