If a picture paints a thousand words then you can certainly see what a magnificent view we had of our city from Perth Waters while being entertained with a private concert from “Steve Keene and The New Reflections”.  Steve and the ladies serenaded us with easy to listen to music on board Saratoga, whilst the Cruising Section Committee socialised with guests and reflected on the wonderful, varied events we held over the past year.

Also enjoying the Cruising Section’s renowned hospitality was Vice Commodore John Midolo and his wife Rose (John pictured below with committee members Christine Becker, Paul Stott and Stephen Mawhinney) and Rear Commodore Carl Pettersson and his wife Christine.

As other boats cruised past, comments and looks of envy were seen as Steve, Cara and Jodie sang to us so splendidly.  A big thank you goes again to Steve Winter for being our skipper and generously providing Saratoga for our function.

All our activities this year from over-nighters at Mandurah and Mangles Bay, to enjoying lunches at other yacht clubs have not come without the hard work of the Committee.  We all know that being on a committee and giving your time voluntary can be time consuming but it is so needed and appreciated.

From our Cruising Captain Jan Becker and the Cruising Section Committee we would like to wish you all a very safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you for more fun and frivolity in the New Year!

The Cruising Scribe.
