What a great way to spend a Sunday – lunching at Royal Freshies last Sunday! The weather turned out to be a beautiful winter’s day with a slight breeze and glorious sunshine. Three boats ferried us over from our club to Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club.
The staff welcomed us very warmly and invited us to sit in their lounge for pre-lunch drinks before moving us into a private room which was beautifully set up for us for lunch. 17 of us sat down to a lovely lunch accompanied by the odd glass of wine and as always the wonderful banter and enjoyment of friends!
A big thank you goes to Jan Becker for again doing a great job of organising this luncheon and to our three “chauffeurs” Guy and Leonie Mewburn – Sweetwater, Neil and Lyn Martin – Orca and Daniel and Jayda Shields – It’s All Good, for providing our transport. We would also like to acknowledge the wonderful and warm hospitality of RFBYC who always make us feel welcome and who were very accommodating again and provided mooring space for us to bring our boats over.
