Jetty Walkway Replacement or

“My knees, back, shoulders, actually everything, hurts!”

Last week 24 members of the Bosun’s Club replaced the ageing and splintering timber deck planks with fibreglass mesh decking, over most of Jetty 3, completing all of the main walkway, the T head and about half of the finger piers.

About 10 members fronted up at 0800hrs each day and worked through until the afternoon, with morning smoko and lunch very ably catered for by Judi Cross.

Beer’n’bbq was enjoyed by many on Friday afternoon in the new Bosun’s Club shed at the completion of the week’s work.

Those members who volunteered their time and sore backs, arms, legs and shoulders should be very proud of their efforts and the Club must be most appreciative of work achieved.

We will be looking at completing the rest of the finger piers (the tricky curved ones) in the coming weeks.
