Member and Non-Member

Food & Beverage Pricing

At the AGM on 5th September, Members were asked to provide an indication of their views about the introduction of a Members and Non Members food and beverage pricing scheme. The feedback was overwhelmingly in favour of the proposal to introduce Member and Non Member pricing. The proposition was discussed by the Finance Committee and the committee is in favour of the scheme too. The Treasurer will be recommending the adoption of the scheme to the Management Committee who meet on 25th September. While the process of adopting the proposal is being worked through, an outline is presented below for Members’ information as the intent is to have the scheme in place in the next few weeks.

The proposal being considered is:

  • Beverage and dining prices will be increased by 10% by the end of October. This may be earlier subject to the computer system programming requirements which are being checked with the programmers.
  • Function pricing is excluded from the proposal
  • Members will automatically have a 10% discount applied to their purchases when they use their fob key at the point of sale.
  • Members without their fob keys must present their Membership Card at the time of the transaction to receive the 10% discount.
  • The discount will not be applicable without either the fob or your membership card (which should be carried by Members at all times)
  • Any person unable to demonstrate they are bona fide members of the Club will be obliged to pay what will become the standard or Non Member prices for any purchases they make at the Club.
Sailability

Sailability at SoPYC.

The seventh season of Sailability will commence on Wednesday 10th October 2018. As always it is weather permitting. We have lost a few of our volunteers this season so if you feel like a new position, with huge pay increases weekly, fantastic working conditions and wonderful mates please come along and join us.

The lady to contact is Liz Warman, mobile 0419 949006 or email liz.warman@iinet.net.au. We sail Wednesday mornings and help is need from 9am until noon.

Last Sunday was the final of the Frostbite series at the Club and also Barts Bash Day. Sailability ran a raffle in the members' area after racing and it was really well supported. We raised $300 and I thank all of you for supporting us.
